Poker Strategy

It is common knowledge that poker is a game of skill and luck. The luck part is commonly estimated to be about 20% - 30%. And 70% to 80% are skill.  Exactly this constellation make the casual players come back after they have lost their last deposit. Even the weakest players holds sometimes the nuts and is then beating the bluffing shark.

But long-term the skilled players will show better results. The reason is, that they bet when they have an edge and they fold when the odds are against them. They make less errors than the casual players and this shows at the end a profit in their pockets.

They get the superior skill by studying the game harder than the losing players. They are reading books and online articles by the pros. They discuss their hands on hand forums and read the explanations there. And they practice a lot then to get experience with the things they've learned before from the poker theory.
